I live on the street, and SOC ROCKS!!! John Fitzsimmons was introduced to the world of magic at the age of 12 by his father, a veteran police officer who was working off-duty at a hotel in Ahwatukee, Ariz. The hotel restaurant featured a magician who dazzled John with his sleight of hand. The finale of his performance involved a card John signed finding its way into a zippered compartment in the magician’s wallet. The next day, John’s dad took him to Easley’s Fun Shop in downtown Phoenix and a career was born. A decade later John was introduced to the wonder of the sideshow world where he learned many weird and wonderful stunts. His passion for magic and sideshow combines in his performances to create truly one-of-a-kind shows. Over a career that has spanned nearly 20 years, John has appeared on every major TV network in the nation and has traveled across the country to amaze audiences with his unique abilities. Along with his work as a performer, John also is a technical and creative consultant working with some of the top names in magic. Additionally, parts of his original magic presentations have been seen on TV around the world. John has used his skill to promote various products using magic, from chewing gum and pain reliever to a presidential candidate. John is a Member and Past President of The International Brotherhood of Magicians (Ring 55), and a Member of The Society of American Magicians.

Welcome to my Channel. I've been on the street since the beginning so many of you will already know me to some degree here. But for those of you who don't know me I figured I'd share a little about myself. I started in magic when I was 17 years old. One of my older brothers had passed away while serving in the Air Force in California. Some months later my family and I went to his base for a memorial service. It obviously wasn't a pleasant trip but friends of my brothers did show us around while we where there. One of the places had a magic shop and I ended up buying a few "Tricks". When I got back home to Michigan I found a magic shop in my own town and kept going there. So that's how I got my start in magic. Another thing that some might find interesting about me is the fact that I started in magic is also the time of my life that I became deaf. So in my over 20 years of magic I never heard any of my spectators or audiences. But that all changed just a year and a half ago when I got a Cochlear Implant. So I can now hear again after about 20 years of deafness. As far as my magic goes I mostly do close up and parlor magic. My specialty is an area of magic that I'm probably most known for is my Invisible Thread work. I've won numerous magic competitions over the years. And I've marketed a number of my magic creations. What's this channel going to be about? Well, right now it's mainly just about me. But in the future I might develop some specific channels on my interests in magic. Right now I'm finding the world of sound magical enough and the main focus on my life. But now that I'm getting use to be able to hear again I have a new area of magic to dive into. That's being a magician that is no longer deaf (Deafness played a big part in my performances). So it's not only changed my life but also the way I perform. It'll take time to adjust but it'll come. I'm so glad to meet you on the Street!
